MARRIED

I am married.
I was getting butterflies in the stomach the night before...it feels so unreal
The registration was quite fast...just a few minutes...and we are now officially married
We are now Husband and Wife (ok..this still feels weird)

Basically what happens at the wedding registration was the registrar reads out the marriage vow which says that:
Hern and I are now bounded by the law to be husband and wife for life
None of us should remarry unless we are divorced by the law

So it kinda tells u that under the law u are husband and wife
And that you should not marry someone else
However, if under certain circumstances..u need to remarry..u still have a way out
Divorce.
Not very optimistic, huh?

I did not get to have a church wedding
And so I did not get to do the vow the Christian way
And somehow it feels incomplete
So I've search for a few and chose one which I will keep as my vow:

I give you this ring, wear it with love and joy. I choose you to be my husband: to have and to hold, from this day forward. For better, for worse, for richer for poorer; in sickness and in health; to have and to cherish, as long as we both shall live. And hereto, I pledge you my faithfulness to show to you the same kind of love as Christ showed the Church when He died for her, and to love you as a part of myself because in His sight we shall be one

I cannot rely on myself to uphold this vow
Temptation will come
Hardship will hit
And my heart will shake
But with God as the head of this new family...
 I believe even storms will be calmed.
