Pink Monday

It's Monday
And it's a holiday
I love public holidays

When I don't have to worry bout the time
And I can just sleep in

No commitments
No appointments
No responsibilities
Nothing
Just me
:)
It's the best

I still remember how ppl always say
Being a child is the best
You don't have a thing to worry about
It's a carefree life

As we grow older
May be some will say we will grow wiser
But..i think the older u get..
The more confused u become
Or maybe the more u contradict yourself
OR is it just me? Damn.

I still remember the scene from the play by the Footstool Players
It goes something along these lines
"God, everyday I wake up and when i look into a mirror
I see a child
Dressing up like an adult
Trying to be an adult"

I cannot agree more with that
Age catches up faster than my emotions and my thoughts
When I read back my blog a few years back
I don't seem to grow up much
I am still the same as I was a few years back

Maybe sometimes I feel that I'm wiser now
More mature now
But..there are areas in my life that i still feel lost
Especially when problems hit
I find myself whining like a baby

Well, we don't grow up over night
It's through experiences, pain and mistakes that we grow
Everytime we pick ourselves up from a rumble, we grow..a lil and a lil

It's easier said than done

But I am always reminded of this song
"Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus"
(yea i still remember the first time Ping and I heard the song..it was during my Baptism classes
And how we were asked to sing it before each class..I still remember Ping and I giggled away coz the song sounded so...sorry but..old fashioned...or maybe it's just the singer..*mean*)
It has now become the song that I will sing everytime I am lost

4 very simple lines yet carries such great meaning:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
